4 Ways To Keep Your Dog Cool

Chill Collar
During the heat of the summer, dogs can’t regulate their temperature like humans. Here are some important steps to keep them cool in hot weather.
  • Check your dog’s water bowl regularly and fill it up whenever it’s low. If you take your dog for a walk or car ride, please remember to pack water and a bowl to ensure he doesn’t overheat and suffer dehydration.
  • If you’re at home or out in the yard, try giving your dogs a few ice cubes or freeze one of her favorite chew toys filled with some yummy treats. And make sure there’s a shaded spot, even if you have to create one yourself.
  • Make sure your dog doesn’t play too hard while in the sun. During particularly hot spells, walk them early in the morning or later in the evening.
  • Check the pavement.  On very warm days, there is a risk the pavement may be too hot for your dog’s paws. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws.

Our chill collars and blue cooling mats are on sale to help you beat the heat!
